On Volotea’s cheapest fare (Standard) you can bring one free under-seat bag up to 40 × 30 × 20 cm. A cabin bag up to 55 × 40 × 25 cm and 10 kg isn’t included on Standard. It comes with Megavolotea and Megavolotea Plus.

Bags breaking the size, number or weight rules go in the hold at the gate (fee per flight). Volotea may also cancel your booking and deny boarding.

It’s almost always cheaper to add the right bag when you book or online before you fly.

Other Volotea cabin rules worth knowing

Only 85 cabin bags (55 × 40 × 25 cm) fit on each flight; extra bags go in the hold free of charge.
With a baby under 2, Volotea adds Priority Boarding: you can take 1 cabin bag of 10 kg (55 × 40 × 25 cm) plus 1 baby bag up to 5 kg.
A folding pushchair within 55 × 40 × 25 cm can go in the cabin instead of the cabin bag.
Travel agency bookings (GDS, Volotea Web Agencies, Volotea Groups) include a 10 kg bag that must be checked in.
To take that bag on board you need Priority Boarding; bring it to the gate without checking it in and you'll pay €50.
Tickets bought before 8 June 2022 follow the old policy: a 40 × 55 × 20 cm bag checked in free at the desk.

Volotea allows up to 2 power banks of up to 100 Wh each, in hand luggage only. Anything over 100 Wh is banned.
