How we check the rules
Every figure on this site comes from an official source, with the date we checked it.
Where the data comes from
- Bag sizes and fees: the airline’s own website — its baggage pages, help centre or conditions of carriage. We link to the exact page on every airline page.
- Liquids: the airport’s own security pages, or the national transport department.
- Power banks: IATA’s lithium battery guidance and each airline’s dangerous-goods page.
News articles and other guides are only used to find official pages, never as the source of a number.
When we’re not sure
If an airline doesn’t publish a figure, we say so instead of guessing. Pages with details we couldn’t fully confirm carry a visible warning, and the checker says “We couldn’t confirm this limit” rather than giving a false yes or no.
How the checker works
Bag sizers let you turn the bag, so we compare your longest side with the airline’s longest limit, the middle with the middle, and the shortest with the shortest. Measurements are compared to the nearest millimetre. If you enter a weight, we compare it with the airline’s weight limit for that bag.
How often we re-check
Every airline page shows the date it was last checked. We re-check reported problems within 48 hours and log every confirmed change on the rule changes page.
